Bradley Hines
Our principal, Bradley Hines, has a varied background in architecture. He received a BA and BS in Architecture from Washington State University in 2001. During his time there he spent a year studying architecture and working on his thesis in Tokyo at Nihon University. After graduating, he worked for AKS Architects in Seattle, Washington for a little more than two years. Brad then moved to Tokyo to begin his graduate work at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He spent three years on his research and graduate thesis before achieving his MA Architecture. While going to school in Tokyo and for a while after graduating he worked for various firms, including Nikken Sekkei and Toyo Ito. He also did some construction document translation for Sekisui House, Seiryu Maintenance Division. After returning to the US, Brad worked in Sun Valley, Idaho for a couple years at Architecture Plus and for Susan Desko, AIA. Since that time, Brad has continued his studies, by achieving a Master of Science in Green Building from San Francisco Institute of Architecture, and he has also taken various other courses to ensure he is up to speed on the latest technologies and trends in architecture. Today, Brad is the sole member of Annex Design Services, however he regularly hires drafters he knows on a contract basis. Working with the same drafters ensures efficiency in production and helps keep costs down.
